Edith passionately believes that women have a vital hand in creating, preserving, and defending life, and that they deserve artistic representation befitting there valor. Borrowing from Renaissance 'figure style" painting she recast the classical Goddesses and Madonnas into wry and contemporary domestic dramas, dealing with forces, both social and psychological, that occur every day in the lives of modern women. Edith was born  and raised in upstate New York. She started painting when she was four years old and had the good fortune to receive limitless support from her artistic family. Her paintings are include in many prominent public and private collection and her book 'Domestic Goddess' is publish by Pomegranate Publishers.
